Last year, Huawei introduced two horizontal foldable devices, the Mate X3 and Mate X5, but did not release any vertical foldables. The last vertical foldable was the Huawei Pocket S, which came out in late 2022. However, a new model is finally on the way and leaked Fixed focus digital shared early versions of it on Weibo.
The Huawei Pocket 2 is showcased in three colors: solid black, Dark Purple (which resembles a leather texture), and Rococo White (which has a marble look).

Similar to its predecessors, the phone features two circles on its back – the first is the camera island, and the second is the cover screen. On the P50 Pocket and Pocket S, it had a 1.04” circular OLED display with 340 x 340px resolution.
As for the camera island, it includes three lenses, although no details are available about any of the modules. The P50 Pocket and Pocket S both had 40MP main and 13MP ultrawide lenses, but the P50 also included an unusual 32MP camera that worked in the ultraviolet spectrum (it was used for the Sunscreen Test feature).
It’s possible that Huawei will launch the Pocket 2 alongside the upcoming Huawei P70 series – the P60 series was released in March last year – although Pockets usually arrive later in the year.
