Last year’s models had stereo speakers, and the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ continue this trend with a bottom speaker and earpiece. Samsung hasn’t shared a lot of details, but the 2024 models do feature upgraded speakers. Take a listen.
We conduct our tests in a controlled acoustic environment and play a variety of music genres for you to listen to. We also perform a sweep of the entire frequency range to create the frequency response curves you see below.
Samsung Galaxy S24+
In the S24 series, Samsung has improved the mids at the expense of some bass, but the difference is mostly in a range that the human ear cannot perceive. The speakers are also noticeably louder than their predecessors, with a smaller difference between the vanilla and plus models this year.
If you use headphones, you’ll notice an even greater improvement than you might expect, along with better stereo separation.
Note that you can add more phones to the comparison – our list is constantly growing, so you can compare your current phone’s sound with the new Galaxy S24 range.
