The Skoda Scala: Facelift and Second Chance
The Skoda Scala has not been selling well and is receiving a somewhat lackluster facelift. However, its old qualities remain solid, which calls for a second chance. At first glance, the changes may not be immediately apparent, but the Scala deserves better.
Unfortunately, the sales figures for the Scala have been disappointing. Despite Skoda’s overall success in 2023, the Scala was one of the least popular models with Dutch buyers. However, 2023 was Scala’s best year in the Netherlands.
Changes in the Skoda Scala Facelift (2024)
The updated Skoda Scala has undergone some changes, although the overall appearance has not been drastically overhauled. The front and rear have been updated with new stylized headlights and taillights. Additionally, the new Scala now features a virtual pedal for easier shopping and standard digital instruments and an 8.25-inch central infotainment display.
Despite these improvements, the changes may not be enough to convince doubters to consider the new Scala. However, the car still offers hidden talents and practical features that make it a worthwhile option.
Skoda Scala Price and Variants
The updated Skoda Scala is priced at 26,490 euros for the 1.0 TSI Greentech with 95 hp and five gears. For those who prefer an automatic transmission, the cheapest option is priced at 30,490 euros.
Despite the underwhelming sales and modest updates, the Scala still offers value for the price, with ample space, practical features, and solid performance.
