The Honor 100 series has recently arrived, but the company is not done with the previous series, as leakers on Weibo have revealed. The company plans to launch the Honor 90 GT smartphone, which should be a performance-oriented device with less emphasis on the cameras.
Another report has suggested that an X50 GT is also in the works, and the two variants could possibly be announced together.
Honor 80 GT
The X50 GT will be an upgrade over the X40 GT, which has a Snapdragon 888 chipset and a top-level cooling solution. We don’t know much about the actual specifications, but it should be the most powerful smartphone in the X50 series.
Honor 90 GT should come as an evolution of the Honor 80 GT launched 12 months ago with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 platform, just like its sibling 80 Pro. One user suggested that the new phone will likely have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and a 90 GT+ sibling with 24GB of RAM.
We have to wait and see if these rumors are wishful thinking or if Honor is really preparing for a new product launch in China.
