The Sauber F1 team, the former Alfa Romeo F1 team, will announce its new name on December 10. For the first time, the new F1 car will also be presented in Great Britain.
In 2018, Sauber said goodbye to its name and the racing team was renamed the Alfa Romeo F1 team. However, that collaboration is now coming to an end and before becoming the Audi factory team in 2026, there will be two transition years in 2024 and 2025. We will soon find out under which name Sauber will race next year.
According to Alessandro Alunni Bravi, the presentation of the new car will take place in Great Britain and there will be a new surprising name for the team, following a collaboration with a new sponsor.
“On December 10, when the FIA publishes the official entry list, we will of course announce our new team name,” said Bravi during the ‘Autosport Awards’.
“I think it will be a surprise because we can’t wait to start working with our new partners. We will take a fresh new approach to marketing communications and we will present our car in the UK.”
“This year our successful partnership with Alfa Romeo came to an end and in 2024 we will of course have a new team name.”
“As you know, the team name in Formula 1 is also used to highlight a commercial partnership, so we don’t want to say anything more about it.”
