Vivo has announced the upcoming presentation of the Vivo S18 series smartphones. A company representative revealed the key characteristics of the devices, demonstrated the capabilities of their cameras using real photographs as examples, and also announced the premiere date of future new products.
The presentation of the Vivo S18 smartphone family will take place on December 14 this year. It is already known that the base model will be based on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, and the Pro version will be built on the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ mobile platform. Insiders also attribute the devices to a 5000 mAh battery, but there is no official confirmation of this information yet.
The rear camera of the Vivo S18 Pro will include a Sony IMX920 main sensor, an ultra-wide-angle module, and a telephoto lens with a “professional sensor” for portrait photography – the resolution of all three will be 50 megapixels. In addition, a feature of the new products in the series will be support for the large BlueLM language model at the level of the device itself.
The company also shared photos taken with the Vivo S18 camera with automatic AI processing. The price of smartphones has not yet been announced by the manufacturer.
