WhatsApp has recently introduced the Chat Lock feature, which allows users to lock their chats using their device password or biometrics, such as a fingerprint. These locked chats are then hidden behind a “Closed Chats” folder in the chat list. Now, in an effort to enhance the security and privacy of these locked chats, WhatsApp has announced the new Secret Code for Chat Lock feature.
With the Secret Code feature, users can now set a unique password to hide the Closed Chats folder from the chat list. This password can only be used to reveal the hidden chats by typing it into the WhatsApp search bar.
Users can use letters, numbers, special characters, and even emojis to create their unique secret code. Additionally, for those who prefer to keep the Closed Chats visible, they still have the option to display them in the chat list.

WhatsApp has also made it easier to close a chat by allowing users to do so with a long press, eliminating the need to go to the chat’s settings.
The secret code feature has started rolling out and will be available to all users worldwide in the coming months.
