According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Honor Magic6 Pro will feature a 160MP periscope zoom camera instead of a 200MP one. Honor has reportedly opted for the 160MP option over the 200MP imager.
Additionally, the insider has revealed details about the OV50K sensor that will be featured in the Magic6’s main camera. It seems that it will not be a 1-inch type sensor, but rather around 1/1.3-inch in size, similar to the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 200MP main camera. According to Digital Chat Station, the OV50K will produce high-quality images through LOFIC technology – lateral overflow integration capacitor-based CMOS, essentially a stacked sensor, similar to the one in the Xperia 1 V and OnePlus Open (Oppo Find N3).
The Honor Magic6 may debut in China soon with a global release later on. Its predecessor was released in March of this year.
Little is known about the device other than its expected use of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with AI capabilities.
