Earlier this week, Meizu officially announced the launch event for the 21. It will take place in China on November 30, and ahead of that, the company has now confirmed some of the 21’s specifications.
For example, the 6.55-inch OLED display provided by Samsung comes with “1.5K” resolution, SGS low blue light certification, and 1,920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The screen is surrounded by symmetrical 1.74mm rings on all sides.
Meizu 21 specifications officially confirmed
The Meizu 21 is also confirmed to have a 4,800 mAh battery, which, when paired with the energy-efficient display, the (also confirmed) Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and Meizu’s OneMind 10.5 AI engine, will be able to achieve endurance that would normally require 5,100 mAh of capacity or more.
Meizu says the 21 lasted 8.2 hours in its (undetailed) extreme endurance test, while an unnamed competitor with a 5,100 mAh battery managed just 7.4 hours in the same test. According to the 21’s earlier 3C certification, it will have support for 80W fast wired charging.
