According to a new report from ETNews, Apple is planning to switch its MacBook and iPad lineups to OLED displays in the coming years. The report sheds some more light on the next generation iPad mini, stating that Apple will introduce single-stack LTPS OLED displays on its seventh-gen iPad mini and iPad Air models in 2026. The iPad mini is also expected to get a larger 8.7-inch screen compared to the 8.3-inch one of the current models.
There are also rumors that Apple will begin its transition to OLED displays on the iPad line with the 2024 iPad Pro 11” and 13” models. The Pro iPads are expected to come with LTPO panels, while the mini and Air devices will get LTPS OLEDs.
