In recent races, Ferrari has closed significantly on Mercedes in the battle for second place in the constructors’ championship. After the Las Vegas GP, Mercedes only has a four-point lead over Ferrari. Team boss Frederic Vasseur warns Mercedes that his team has the momentum and is doing everything it can to win the battle for second place.
“When you know that a few races ago we were 60 points behind them, you know that we are doing well,” said Frederic Vasseur after the Las Vegas GP. “Abu Dhabi will be a different story, four points at the same time a small and a big difference.”
“We performed well in Monza, Singapore, Austin, Mexico and over this weekend on different tire compounds, in different conditions and we are more than motivated for Abu Dhabi.”
“We have the momentum, let’s see what happens.”
