The ElectronicsHub portal conducted a large-scale study to determine smartphones with the most capacious batteries in the range of different brands. At the same time, experts analyzed how this indicator changed over several years.
As part of the study, smartphones from 30 largest brands released since 2018 were analyzed. Among Apple devices, the most capacious battery during this time was the iPhone 15 Pro Max – 4422 mAh. The worst indicator among Apple devices is the second generation iPhone SE – only 1821 mAh.
Among Samsung smartphones, the Galaxy M51 and Galaxy F62 are the leaders in battery capacity with 7000 mAh. The worst was the Galaxy A2 Core with 2600 mAh.
Over the past 5 years, Xiaomi has released eight smartphones with a 6000 mAh battery. These include Redmi 10 Power, POCO C40, redmi 9T, POCO X3 and others. Interestingly, the minimum figure in the Chinese company’s devices over the years has been 3000 mAh – 1.65 times more than in the iPhone SE 2.
The Chinese brand Ulefone was named the leader in smartphone battery capacity with an average of 6600 mAh. Second place was taken by Doogee with 5500 mAh, and Blackview with 5180 mAh took third place. The last place in the top twenty was taken by Apple with an average value of 3187 mAh.
The graph above shows that Ulefone leads in the share of smartphones with the highest capacity – 92.31% of all brand devices have a battery of 5000 mAh or more. Apple takes last place in this ranking.
Another graph shows how the battery capacity of smartphones from major brands changed over the period from 2018 to 2023. Once again, it is clear that Apple is lagging behind its competitors. True, practice shows that capacity is not always directly proportional to autonomy.
