Barry Baltus (Kalex Fieten Olie Racing GP) finished eighteenth on Sunday during the Qatar GP in Moto2. Victory in the nineteenth and penultimate World Championship round on the Lusail circuit went to Spaniard Fermin Aldeguer (Boscoscuro Speed Up Racing), who won his third race in a row.

The 19-year-old Baltus started from sixteenth on the grid and was never in the running to gain valuable World Cup points during the race. The native of Namur constantly fluctuated between seventeenth and eighteenth place and therefore failed to finish in the points for the fourth time in the last five races.
Despite a bad start, Aldeguer rose from ninth to first. Just before the finish, Manuel Gonzalez (Kalex Yamaha VR46) passed Aron Canet (Kalex Pons Wegow Los40) for second place. Pedro Acosta (Kalex Red Bull KTM Ajo), who was crowned world champion last week during the Malaysian GP, crossed the line in eighth.
The final round of the World Championship will take place on November 26 at the Valencia circuit in Spain.
