Insider and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed alarming news regarding iPhone sales in China, surpassing initial concerns. Kuo predicts that Apple’s situation will further deteriorate by 2024.
Prior reports indicated that Apple expected consistent revenue in Q4 2023 compared to Q4 2022. However, analysts noticed a decline in demand for iPhones among Chinese consumers. Counterpoint Research estimates that sales of the iPhone 15 series in China during the first 17 days after its release were 4.5% lower than the sales of last year’s models during the same period.
Experts attribute this decrease to Chinese users transitioning to Android devices, particularly highlighting the new HUAWEI Mate 60. Nevertheless, four out of the top five best-selling smartphone models in China are still iPhones.
Meanwhile, during a recent earnings call, Apple CEO Tim Cook mentioned strong iPhone demand in the Chinese market, with record-breaking sales in Q3.
