In the ongoing Right of Review procedure requested by Haas, team boss Guenther Steiner affirms the existence of undisputed new evidence regarding the result of the USA GP.
Steiner, speaking to Motorsport-Total, acknowledges that without accurate information, stewards cannot take action. He empathizes with this. However, with new information in hand, he awaits the FIA’s response.
It is puzzling how stewards can make a certain decision without seeing these images. But now, we possess clear evidence to support our claims.
Steiner’s evidence consists of onboard images, which were unavailable to the stewards at the time of their initial ruling. Previously, similar images have been used to retrospectively penalize drivers, like Lewis Hamilton in the 2020 Austrian race weekend when 360-degree camera footage revealed his failure to slow down under a yellow flag. The stewards are expected to evaluate the Haas F1 team’s additional evidence tomorrow.
