HUAWEI regularly hosts the XMAGE Awards mobile photography competition. The company recently announced this year’s winner and showcased other impressive photos. It’s worth noting that the grand prize winner captured their photographs using a three-year-old Mate 40 RS, proving that exceptional photos can be taken with any device.
The first-place prize went to a photograph titled “I am like an eagle, not afraid of danger” by Dou Chuanli from Weifang, China. The judges praised the vibrant colors that accurately depict the bird’s character, while the reflection of a hand in the pupil adds depth and intrigue to the photo. The winner describes the photo herself:
“The eagle is brave and indomitable, facing difficulties and dangers without fear and with unwavering determination. Even as the black hand reaches forward, its gaze remains firm and sharp! I am like an eagle, not afraid of danger!” reads the photo’s description.
