During the Brazilian GP, there was an intense battle between Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso, with Alonso narrowly coming out on top. However, Perez expressed his satisfaction with the mutual battle and believes it holds valuable lessons for other drivers.
Perez told Sky Sports that Alonso’s victory in the battle for the podium was well-deserved. He described the fight as great, fair, and pushing the limits.
According to Perez, many other drivers can learn from their competition and the way they raced. He believes it exemplified the ideal approach on the track.
Although Perez ended up on the losing side, he accepted it and said, “It’s ok.”
Perez had a strong race, finishing in fourth place. This performance was particularly welcome after a disappointing home race in Mexico, where he had to retire due to a collision with Leclerc.
Perez commented, “We have seen in recent races that the speed was there, that we were very strong. For some reason, we were unable to achieve the final result. But I know it’s only a matter of time.”
