Sergio Perez experienced yet another disappointing qualifying session at the Brazilian GP. Despite initially showing promise with the ninth fastest time, Perez believes he could have secured a spot on the front row.
Perez’s chances of securing a front row start were dashed when McLaren driver Oscar Piastri went off track in the thirteenth corner, forcing Perez to slow down due to a yellow flag. As a result, Perez had to settle for the ninth fastest time, with Piastri being the only driver slower than him in Q3.
“I had such bad luck today. I should have been on the front row,” expressed a disappointed Sergio Perez. “Up until the last corner, my lap time was very close to that of Max Verstappen, but then Piastri incident forced me to back off.”
