Red Bull team boss Christian Horner anticipates strong competition from Mercedes during the upcoming race weekend in Brazil.
The season has been a dominant one for Red Bull Racing, with the Austrian team clinching victory in eighteen out of nineteen races so far. However, Mercedes has shown signs of improvement in recent races, particularly with Lewis Hamilton delivering strong performances. Horner believes that Mercedes will be contenders in Brazil.
“They have been competitive in the races in Mexico, and it’s difficult to assess their performance in Austin due to the circumstances,” Horner stated during a media briefing. “But we definitely expect them to be competitive in Brazil.”
Brazil presents an opportunity for Red Bull to rectify past shortcomings. Horner acknowledged that they missed an opportunity last year, primarily due to setup issues. This year, they are determined to make the necessary adjustments and perform well in Brazil.
