One of the biggest highlights of iOS 17 is the contact posters. The contact posters feature in iOS 17 allows users to customize the picture and name that appears on other screens when the user calls. Apple has also included a NameDrop feature with iOS 17, which allows users to exchange their contact information with other iPhone users simply by bringing both iPhones in proximity to each other.
iOS 17 brings the Standby feature, which allows users to make the most of their smartphones while they’re charging. The iPhone can now show Live Activities, Clock, Upcoming Events, and more on the lock screen while connected to a MagSafe charger and kept in landscape orientation. iOS 17 also enables Find My Item Sharing, so users will finally be able to share their AirTag tracking with other users.
iOS 17 also has an all-new Check-In feature, which basically notifies family members and friends when a user arrives at set destinations such as home and work. The latest iteration of iOS also offers Live Voicemail, Offline Maps, Live Stickers, an all-new Journal app, and Offline Maps. Take a look at the list of iPhones that are receiving the iOS 17 update:
