It appears that Apple is focused on simplifying the repair process for their branded smartphones. After equipping the iPhone 14 with a removable back cover, the company has nearly tripled the price of similar repairs for the new iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max when done through an official service center.

The price list for iPhone repair services has been updated on the Apple support website. The new models have been added to it. As it turns out, replacing the glass on the back cover of the iPhone 15 Pro costs $169, while for the Pro Max it costs $199. In comparison, the same repair for the iPhone 14 Pro used to cost $499, and for the 14 Pro Max it used to cost $549. The current price list for this service at American Apple service centers is as follows:

  • iPhone 14 and 15: $169
  • iPhone 14 Plus and 15 Plus: $199
  • iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro: $499 and $169
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max: $549 and $199

The price does not include the extended paid Apple Care+ warranty. Registering for it will reduce the cost of glass replacement to $29. Additionally, the company has updated the prices for servicing the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 smartwatches. The battery replacement, which used to cost $79, has now increased to $99.
