Most mobile device manufacturers are gradually increasing the charging speed of their smartphones, but Samsung is not following suit. The company is still sticking to 45W, while its competitors offer up to 240W. The situation may remain the same with the Galaxy S24.

The Chinese versions of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra have been certified by the CCC regulator. The database contains some information about the devices, including supported charging power. The Galaxy S24 (SMS 9210) will receive 25W charging support, similar to the current version. And the Galaxy S24+ (SM 9260) and Galaxy S24 Ultra (SMS 9280) models will be equipped with technology with a power of up to 45 W.

It is almost certain that the charging speed of the new Galaxy S24 will not differ from the current Galaxy S23 – each of the three models takes about an hour to fully charge. In this case, the battery capacity of the Galaxy S24 will be 4000 mAh, the Galaxy S24+ – 4900 mAh, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra – 5000 mAh.

Among other characteristics, the smartphones are credited with having an Exynos 2400 chip or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (for Galaxy only in the US and China), an OLED display with a peak brightness of 2500 nits, 5G support, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, up to 16 GB of RAM, and up to 2 TB of storage depending on the model and configuration. The new products are also likely to receive support for two-way satellite communication for emergency calls.
