Ferrari finished with both cars on top during both practice sessions. During the first practice session Leclerc was the fastest, during the second practice session Sainz was the fastest. Despite twice setting the fastest time for Ferrari, Charles Leclerc is wary, but he suspects that the competition has not yet shown its speed.
“We shouldn’t get carried away,” said Charles Leclerc after Ferrari ended up at the top with both cars during both practice sessions on Friday. “But it is true that we did not expect this performance on Friday.”
“However, I don’t think our opponents have shown their real speed yet. So it’s a good start but now we have to focus on ourselves and hopefully we can repeat this on Saturday.”
“The car seems to be more competitive than we expected on a track like this. We will work on optimizing the balance and I am sure we can make further improvements on Saturday.”
