Nokia smartphone maker HMD is launching its own phones

Nokia G42 5G officially announced

We are familiar with Finnish company HMD Global as the manufacturer of Nokia Android smartphones, which have been released for a number of years now. CEO Jean-Francois Baril recently announced on LinkedIn that the company plans to create “its own” devices under the name HMD.

These new devices will coexist with the current Nokia phones, although the release date for the first HMD smartphone is currently unknown. It may take some time, as the company still holds the Nokia license until 2026, as reported by Nokiamob.

Dutch Data Protection Foundation

X Corp. (formerly Twitter) is being taken to court by Stichting Data Bescherming Nederland (SDBN) for allegedly illegally collecting personal data from users of tens of thousands of free apps, including Wordfeud, Buienradar, Vinted, Shazam, Duolingo, Happn, Grindr, MyFitnessPal, and My Talking Tom.

When X was still known as Twitter, the company owned the advertising platform MoPub, which collected data from users in all these apps and sold it to advertisers without consent.
