The first major launch event of the second half of 2023 is over. We are referring to the Apple event where we introduced the new iPhone 15 models and Apple Watch variants. Now, our attention turns to the upcoming Google Pixel launch event and Microsoft’s Surface launch event. While we already have a lot of information about the Pixel 8 series, it’s time for a detailed leak related to next-gen Surface products.
Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 Renders and Specs Leak
This new Microsoft Surface leak is once again coming from Roland Quandt of WinFuture.dewho has previously shared important details. The latest report offers more details, including high-quality product renders, prices, and expected availability of the new products.
The Surface Laptop Studio 2 is rumored to feature a 14.4-inch PixelSense display with a resolution of 2400 x 1600 pixels. The panel will have a 120Hz refresh rate, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and support for touchscreen input. Under the hood, it will be equipped with Intel Raptor Lake H-series processors. The report states that there will be Core i7-13700H and Core i7-13800H configuration models. These two processors are similar, with major differences in clock speed.
The next-gen Laptop Studio will offer 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB LPDDR5X RAM options. This marks the first time Microsoft is offering 64GB RAM, as it has previously only gone up to 32GB. It will also feature NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4050 GPU with 6GB DDR6 memory and GeForce RTX 4060 GPU with 8GB DDR6 memory.
For those who do not want a dedicated GPU, the company will offer a variant with integrated Iris Xe graphics. One important thing to note is that Microsoft is said to be discontinuing the base model with a Core i5 processor, 16GB RAM, and 256GB SSD storage. The Surface Laptop Studio 2 will reportedly have 512GB SSD as base storage, with options to go up to 1TB and 2TB SSD storage depending on the market.
The connectivity options will include a full-size USB Type-A port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 4.0 Type-C port, and a microSD card slot. The laptop is said to come with a 58Wh battery, Bluetooth 5.x, and WiFi 6. The Surface Laptop Studio 2 is rumored to be priced at EUR 2249 for the base model with integrated graphics.
The variant with 16GB RAM, 512GB storage, and RTX 4050 GPU is said to cost EUR 2,729, and the one with 32GB RAM, 1TB storage, and RTX 4060 GPU will cost EUR 3,199. The high-end variant with 64GB RAM could cost around EUR 3,700. It is expected to go on sale in Europe starting on October 3.
Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 Renders and Specs Leak
The Surface Laptop Go 3 is reported to come with the same 12.45-inch PixelSense touchscreen display with a 3:2 aspect ratio as its predecessor. It will be powered by an Intel Alder Lake U-series processor, specifically the Core i5-1235U chipset clocked at 4.4GHz. Its base variant will have 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD storage.
The battery capacity and weight of the Laptop Go 3 will remain unchanged from the previous generation. It is reported to cost EUR 899 for the base variant, with sales beginning in October.
