Sony has announced a new range of colors for its PlayStation 5 console. Known as the Deep Earth Collection, this collection draws inspiration from the captivating and powerful hues found deep within our planet.
There are three colors included in this collection: Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver.
Volcanic Red is a richer and brighter shade of red compared to the previously announced Cosmic Red set, which had a magenta hue. This new color also features a metallic finish, giving it a shinier appearance.
Cobalt Blue is a deeper shade of blue than the previously announced Starlight Blue and contains hints of purple. Like the red variant, Cobalt Blue also has a metallic finish.
Lastly, Sterling Silver is a shiny silver color with the same metallic finish as the other two shades.
Similar to the previous color options, the Deep Earth Collection will only be available as optional covers and controllers for current PlayStation 5 owners. This means that you will not be able to purchase a new PS5 console in these colors.
The optional covers are priced at $60 each and the DualSense controllers are priced at $75. Pre-orders will begin on October 4, with Volcanic Red and Cobalt Blue available from November 3, 2023, and Sterling Silver becoming available on January 26, 2024.
