Samsung may introduce the Galaxy Tab A9 series tablets, including the Galaxy Tab A9 and the Galaxy Tab A9+, in the coming days. Both of these devices have recently received FCC certification. Additionally, the Galaxy Tab A9+ has been spotted on Geekbench and has received Bluetooth SIG and India’s BIS certification last month. Recently, SafetyKorea revealed live images of the Galaxy Tab A9. Now, prior to the launch, the Galaxy Tab A9 and the Galaxy Tab A9+ have received NBTC certification.
Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+ Receive NBTC Certification
The NBTC certification confirms the names Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+. The former has a model number SM-X115, while the latter has a model number SM-216B, as indicated by the certification. Apart from the model numbers and names, no other details of the Galaxy Tab A9 series have been revealed by the NBTC listing.
Previous leaks from the Geekbench listing suggest that the Galaxy Tab A9+ will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC. The device is expected to have up to 4GB of RAM. In terms of software, the tablet is expected to come with Android 13 out of the box, along with the One UI skin. As mentioned earlier, the Galaxy Tab A9+ has already received approval from the FCC. The FCC listing confirmed that the tablet will have dimensions of 257.11×168.66×6.94mm. Furthermore, the certification also revealed that the tablet will include a 7,040mAh battery (typical) with 15W fast charging support.
The Galaxy Tab A9 was also spotted in an FCC certification a couple of days ago. The certification confirmed that the tablet will have a length of 210.7mm and a width of 124.7mm. Furthermore, the listing also revealed that the device will have a 3.5mm audio jack, a 5,100mAh battery, and 25W fast charging.
Other specifications of the Galaxy Tab A9, such as the display size, camera configuration, and storage details, remain unknown at the moment. Additionally, the launch date of this upcoming tablet lineup has not yet been revealed by Samsung. Considering that the Galaxy Tab A9 is receiving new certifications each day, we can expect them to debut soon.
The Galaxy Tab A9 will be the successor to the Galaxy Tab A8, which made its debut in December 2021. The device features a 10.5-inch display, Unisoc T618 SoC, up to 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 7,040mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
