Oppo unveiled its latest A-series device, the A2 Pro, earlier today in China. It features a curved 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7050 chipset. Notably, Oppo promises that the 5,000 mAh battery inside the A2 Pro will provide at least 4 years of comfortable usage. If the battery health drops below 80% within 4 years of purchase, Oppo will offer a free battery replacement.

According to Oppo’s tests, the battery regained 88% of its original capacity after 1,000 charge cycles. This should be sufficient to handle one charge per day for four years before dropping below 80% of its capacity. The 5,000mAh cell supports 67W wired charging and incorporates a proprietary battery health engine and power chip to monitor charging and prevent excessive heat and overcharging.

The A2 Pro is equipped with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Despite the large camera island and four cutouts, the rear of the device only houses a 64MP main camera (f/1.7 aperture, 0.7µm pixels) and a 2MP depth assist camera. The software side is covered by ColorOS 13.1 on top of Android 13. The device also features an IP54 water and dust resistance rating as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner.
