During the first practice session, Max Verstappen set the third fastest time, but during the second practice session, which is much more representative due to the later driving time, Max Verstappen did not get further than the eighth fastest time. Verstappen is somewhat concerned and realizes that Red Bull has work to do.
“It went worse than expected,” said Verstappen after the second practice session in Singapore. “We struggled quite a bit with the balance of the car. We tried a few things in the second session some worked and some didn’t. But we couldn’t get the car together.”
According to Verstappen, Ferrari is particularly fast and it will be a challenge to be a lot more competitive by Saturday and Sunday.
“We have a few things we need to figure out tonight. There are a few things we don’t understand yet. I hope we can improve things because it is quite a big gap. Ferrari is very fast, but we are just worse than expected.”
