Huawei hosted a major event in Barcelona today where they unveiled their latest smart wearables, including the Watch GT4 series, Freebuds Pro 3 wireless earbuds, Eyewear 2, and the new MatePad 11.5″ PaperMatte edition tablet, which focuses on eye care.

Huawei also introduced a new version of the MatePad 11.5 featuring a PaperMatte display. The new nano-etched screen coating provides a paper-like feel, reduces glare, minimizes eye strain, and offers a more natural writing experience with the second-generation M-Pencil stylus.

The rest of the specifications remain unchanged – the 11.5-inch TFT LCD screen has a 1440 x 2200 px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The tablet is equipped with a custom 4G Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. It also features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. The device is powered by a 7,700mAh battery that supports 22.5W charging over USB-C, and it runs on HarmonyOS 3.1.

The MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte edition is available in Space Gray and will be released on September 19 for €500/£400.
Huawei Freebuds Pro 3
The FreeBuds Pro 3 is the successor to last year’s Freebuds Pro 2, offering a dual-driver system that promises clearer treble and deep bass. These flagship wireless earbuds from Huawei also feature Triple Adaptive EQ for crisp sound and support for the LDAC and L2HC 2.0 Hi-Res audio codecs.

Huawei has also introduced an updated Intelligent Dynamic ANC 3.0 system, claiming even better noise cancellation, and a new Pure Voice 2.0 microphone system that ensures clear voice pick-up even in challenging conditions. The earbuds offer a combined battery life of 31 hours and have dual device pairing capabilities.
The Freebuds Pro 3 is priced at €200/£180 and will be available in European markets starting from October 11.
Huawei Eyewear 2
The latest addition to Huawei’s wearable section is the Huawei Eyewear 2 smart glasses. They allow you to listen to music for up to 11 hours through their built-in speakers and feature interchangeable Zeiss prescription lenses. The Eyewear 2 has a titanium frame that weighs just 4.7 grams and offers touch controls on the sides.
