Apple recently released the iPhone 15 series, which includes the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are powered by the A16 Bionic chipset, while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max come with the A17 Pro chipset. The new chipset offers 10% faster performance compared to the A16 Bionic and is manufactured using a 3nm process. Recently, the Geekbench scores for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have been revealed.
iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max Geekbench Scores Revealed
According to the Geekbench test results, the iPhone 15 Pro (model number iPhone 16,1) comes with 8GB of RAM. The benchmark listing also shows that the smartphone’s SoC consists of a six-core CPU with a base frequency of 3.78GHz. In the test results, the device achieved 2908 and 7238 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. These scores are higher than those of the iPhone 14 Prowhich scored 2642 and 6739 in the single-core and multi-core tests.
On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro Max (model number iPhone 16,2) also features 8GB of RAM and a six-core CPU. The device scored 2846 and 7024 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. In comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro Max with the A16 Bionic chipset scored 2546 and 6631 points in the single-core and multi-core tests.
As mentioned earlier, the new A17 Pro chipset in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max is 10% faster than the A16 Bionic chipset. Additionally, the new six-core GPU in the A17 Pro is 20% faster than the five-core GPU in the A16 Bionic. With these improvements in CPU and GPU, the Geekbench scores for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have significantly increased.
In terms of specifications, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max feature a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. Both devices have a 48MP triple-camera setup and a 12MP selfie camera. They are available in Black Titanium, White Titanium, Blue Titanium, and Natural Titanium colors. The price of the iPhone 15 Pro in India starts at Rs 1,34,900, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,59,900.
