Blue Protocol is a highly anticipated title that fans of MMORPGs and anime have been eagerly waiting for. The game has undergone closed beta tests and gameplay videos have been showcased, which has only fueled the excitement.

In an unexpected twist, a mobile version of Blue Protocol has been announced, and it will be published by Tencent.

The Controversy Surrounding Blue Protocol

Recently, the game has faced criticism after it was revealed that Amazon would be publishing the Western version of the game in 2024. There are concerns among players, given Amazon’s track record with their previous release, New World.

Now, with Tencent’s announcement of the mobile version of Blue Protocol, there has been an even stronger wave of anger and disappointment from fans. Some have gone as far as calling Blue Protocol “dead,” stating that they were initially excited about the game but no longer plan to play it.

Adapting Blue Protocol for Mobile

Originally designed as a PC/Console title, Blue Protocol didn’t have a mobile version in sight. Given the game’s ambitious nature as an expansive MMORPG, it was uncertain how well it would transition to mobile devices.

Although MMOs can exist on mobile, it’s challenging to imagine how the game will perform on a smaller platform compared to the original PC and Console releases. The mobile version may be more simplified, but only time will tell.

However, making Blue Protocol accessible to a wider audience is undoubtedly a positive development. Not everyone has access to a PC or next-gen console. It’s important to note that running the upcoming MMORPG on a mobile phone will likely require a powerful device. Additionally, it’s still unclear whether cross-platform play will be available.
