Samsung’s ever-expanding lineup of entry-level devices is about to become even more crowded as the company develops the upcoming Galaxy A05s. This device was leaked today, and you can check out the CAD-based renderings below to see it in all its affordable glory.
According to the same source that provided the renders, the A05s measures 167.9 x 77.7 x 8.8mm and will feature a 6.6-inch screen with a waterdrop notch (referred to as “Infinity-V” by Samsung). It will also come with a 4,000mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging, alongside a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The remaining specifications are still unknown, but don’t expect anything too extravagant. This device is primarily focused on affordability.
It has already received preliminary approval from the FCC, indicating that an official announcement could be coming in the following weeks.
For comparison, last year’s Galaxy A04s, which this model will replace, featured a 6.5-inch 720×1600 90 Hz LCD touchscreen, the Exynos 850 SoC, up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, a triple rear camera system (50 MP main, 2 MP macro, 2 MP depth sensor), a 5 MP selfie snapper, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W wired charging. Therefore, the A05s significantly reduces the battery capacity while increasing the charging speed, in a rather peculiar move.
