As expected, Apple has officially discontinued the iPhone 13 mini and will no longer be selling it through its website. The 13 mini follows in the footsteps of the 12 mini from a year ago. Apple has reduced production several times due to the low interest in the mini iPhone.
What initially seemed like a great idea – a really small, modern iPhone – turned out to be a dead end for Apple. People simply didn’t want small-screen phones; they wanted a Plus model to go along with the Pro Max.
Those few mini owners will still be able to find a 13 mini on third-party retailer platforms for a little while longer, but the days of truly compact premium phones are now numbered.
Apple’s smartphone lineup now starts with the iPhone SE (2022) at $429/€529/£429/INR 49,900, followed by the iPhone 13 at $599/€729/£599/INR 59,900, the iPhone 14 at $699/€849/£699/INR 69,900, the iPhone 14 Plus at $799/€949/£799/INR 79,900, and finally, the new iPhone 15 models.
Apple will also continue to sell the Watch SE alongside the new Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2. The Watch SE is priced at $249/€279/£219/INR 29,900.
