We are now just hours away from Apple’s highly anticipated unveiling event, which takes place on September 12th at 10am local time in California. Many companies are eager to steal some of the spotlight for themselves, even if it’s just for a brief moment.
Case in point (pun intended): case maker Spigen. While they are known for their popular smartphone cases, today they decided to join in on the leak frenzy:

They certainly didn’t hold back with this post, did they? Something new and different caught their attention. Could it be the highly anticipated configurable Action button? It’s right there, under a Spigen case, giving us a glimpse of what it has to offer. Unlike the fixed-function mute switch it replaces, you’ll have the power to decide how to use it.
We can’t help but wonder what Apple, a company notoriously protective of its product secrecy, thinks about a stunt like this. Nevertheless, the post is still up at the time of writing, so it’s fair game.
If you need further confirmation that the Action button is indeed coming, well, here it is. However, recent rumors suggest that only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have it. Why the vanilla models are being left out is a deliberate decision to create artificial differentiation, just like last year with the Dynamic Island – which, by the way, will be featured on all four models this time around.
