Max Verstappen: “My sister probably had as much talent as me”

Max Verstappen states in an interview with RaceFans that he thinks his sister Victoria is just as talented as he is.

With Jos Verstappen as father and Sophie Kumpen as mother, Max Verstappen and sister Victoria come from a real racing family. Today, Victoria is a mother of two and has her own clothing line, but she also achieved some success in karting during her childhood.

I think my sister probably has as much talent as I did when I was little, said Verstappen. But she didn’t want it enough. She liked it, but not enough to fight for it, to train, to be ready.

There have been a few times where my dad spent two days preparing everything, just like he would do with me, to make sure everything was perfect for her to ride. Then she rode about 20 laps and then she was like, ‘that’s it for me for today’. And then my father would get quite irritated.”
