Felipe Massa is still planning to take action against F1 and the FIA over the famous ‘crashgate scandal’ and the 2008 F1 title decision it affected. However, F1 and the FIA will be given a new deadline to respond to the letter sent by his lawyers.
Some time ago it became known that lawyers working for Felipe Massa had sent a letter to F1 and FIA demanding a response by September 8 at 4pm. However, the initial deadline has been moved to mid-October, at the request of F1 and the FIA.
“The ball is in their court, we have been waiting for their answer,” Bernardo Viana, a partner at the law firm Vieira Rezende Advogados, told Reuters. “They asked for more time, until mid-October, and in good faith we agreed.”
