Infinix, a subsidiary of Transsion Corporation, has developed 3D Lighting Leather technology. With the help of this technology, the manufacturer aims to provide a new and unique way of interacting with its leather-covered smartphones.
The essence of this development is to create smartphones that are covered with leather and have the ability to glow in different colors. Infinix plans to utilize this technology, along with accompanying sound effects, to create dynamic and distinctive notifications for various applications. An example of this technology can be seen in the image below, where the smartphone has backlighting along the entire perimeter and in several parts of the back cover.
To achieve this effect, Infinix utilizes a four-layer structure. This structure consists of a lower layer of LED film (LFG) coated with opaque paint to enhance light transmission. In the middle, there is a transparent glass fiber that allows light to pass through the translucent TPU skin.
The 3D Lighting Leather technology will make its debut as part of the special edition Infinix NOTE 30 VIP smartphone later this month.
