After a demonstration run at the Nrburgring with the Red Bul RB7, with which he became world champion in 2011, Sebastian Vettel said that it felt as if he should have been on the grid.

In addition to Sebastian Vettel, many other drivers were also present at the Nrburgring for a Red Bull event, including David Coulthard and Yuki Tsunoda. Sebastian Vettel visibly enjoyed the demo in his ‘championship car’ from 2011.

To be clear, Vettel does not aspire to a comeback in Formula 1, but the four-time world champion did admit that old feelings returned when he gave his demo, especially with a V8 engine in the back of the Red Bull F1 car.

“It felt like I had to be back on the grid before a race, which was a lot of fun,” said Vettel. “The sound with these cars is of course completely different.”

“Part of the crew consisted of guys who were also there when we had a mega year.”

“The seat still fits, the pedals were in the right position, all of which brings back memories.”
