Netflix is once again back at it on Google Play with a new title. Unlike some previous releases, Vikings: Valhalla is a game that is heavily intertwined with the streaming platform, as it is based on one of their hit shows.
Vikings: Valhalla is a game based on the Netflix series, which is itself a sequel to the series ‘Vikings’, set over a century after the events of the original. Valhalla takes place at the end of the Viking Age, as the Christian faith begins to overshadow the Norse gods.
So what is it all about?
Vikings: Valhalla is a strategy game where you take control of a group of Danes and do what Vikings do best. You have the opportunity to build your settlement and upgrade its facilities. Then, you can gather your raiding party and set off to seek your fortune by pillaging others.
First We Pillage, Then We Burn
You are able to unlock new types of troops to gain a strategic advantage, though that is not the only tool at your disposal.
You have the ability to construct ships to expand your travel range and assemble siege weapons to annihilate enemy defenses.
Once you have tested your skills in campaign mode, you can step up to PVP and challenge opponents from all around the world.
However, Vikings: Valhalla is not solely focused on violence. You have the opportunity to form alliances with other players and engage in resource trading, as well as provide mutual assistance.
This game also offers a brand-new storyline from the world of Vikings: Valhalla, along with some familiar faces from the show, such as Leif, Freydis, and Harald.
