Following the launch of the folding Mate X5, HUAWEI has also quietly introduced the flagship smartphone Mate 60 Pro+. It has a similar design to the base model but comes in unique body colors and boasts more advanced technical features.
The new phone features a 6.82-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2720×1260 pixels and a variable refresh rate (ranging from 1 to 120 Hz) with curved edges. The display covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and has a sensor polling rate of 300 Hz (PWM 1440 Hz). It also has three holes, one for the front camera (13 MP, f/2.4), one for the ToF-module, and one for the Face ID scanner. On the back panel, there is a ring-shaped block with three cameras, including:
- Primary: 48 MP, EFR 24 mm, variable aperture (f/1.4 – 4.0), OIS
- Ultra Wide: 40 MP, 13 mm EGF, f/2.2
- Telephoto: 48 MP, EFR 90 mm, f/3.0, OIS, 3.5x zoom
The smartphone’s processor model has not been disclosed by the manufacturer. The device comes with 16 GB of RAM and either a 512 GB or 1 TB storage capacity. Additionally, the HUAWEI Mate 60 Pro+ is equipped with a satellite communication chip, enabling voice calls and text messaging.
The device’s autonomy is ensured by a 5000 mAh battery with support for fast 88-watt wired and 50-watt wireless charging. It also offers 20-watt “reverse” power for charging other devices. Additionally, it is IP68 water and dust resistant, and supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 (SBC, AAC, LDAC, and L2HC).
The back cover of the smartphone is adorned with artificial leather in either black or white. The latter contrasts with the black metal insert and camera module, resembling the distinctive markings on a panda’s face. The release date and price of the HUAWEI Mate 60 Pro+ will be announced at a later time.
