Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz was robbed of his expensive watch on Sunday after his third place in the Italian Grand Prix. In the streets of Milan, some men are said to have stolen his wristwatch. The Spanish sports newspaper Marca knows that it was a watch from the Richard Mille brand, one with a value of about half a million euros.

Sainz himself would have given chase to the robbers. He was helped by people who also walked on the street. It was not long before the robbers were apprehended by rushing police officers.

“As many of you already know, we experienced an unfortunate incident in Milan yesterday,” Sainz himself reported on X. “The most important thing is that everything is fine with us and that this will remain just an unpleasant incident. Many thanks to all the people who helped us yesterday, to the Milan police for their prompt intervention and thank you for all your messages.”

In April of this year, his teammate Charles Leclerc was also robbed of an expensive watch.
