During the second practice session, Sergio Perez crashed at the end of the session. Nevertheless, Perez looks back positively on his Friday in Monza.
“It doesn’t look too bad for me, the damage isn’t too bad, the impact wasn’t that hard,” Perez reflects on his crash during the second practice session. “I think at the end of the session we didn’t lose too much, maybe two laps. Nothing representative in that respect.”
Prior to his crash, Perez said he felt very good in the car.
“The positive thing is that the car is performing well. I feel comfortable with the car and I think we are in a good position for the rest of the weekend. It really felt like a very strong Friday. I think this is really the best Friday in a long time.”
Despite the crash at the end of the second practice session, Sergio Perez speaks of a strong start to the race weekend. Perez says he has made progress compared to the past race weekends.
“We have worked very hard. I think I’ve found some positive steps forward in the car and hopefully I can show that on Saturday and Sunday.”
