In addition, the Model 3 was already the standard of things in other areas. In the field of fast charging and range, for example. And it got even bigger.
After six years, the appearance of the Tesla Model 3 for the first time really changed radically. For example, the headlights were adjusted. They are a bit flatter and have LED daytime running lights. The bumper is also different, the fog lights are gone. At the back you can recognize the Model 3 by the C-shaped taillights. Aerodynamics benefited from the changes; the Cd value: decreased from 0.23 to 0.219. This has positive consequences for the range.
Consequences for the range
Depending on the version, the range of the Tesla Model 3 increases by 5 to 8 percent. The rear-wheel drive Model 3 now has a range of 513 km (from 490 km), while the Long Range car now travels 629 kilometers on a single battery charge. Fast charging is still possible with 170 kW (Standard Range) or 250 kW (Long Range).

Gone are the cracks
Especially with the first models that rolled off the line, the criticism was harsh; sheet metal parts did not fit well together. When you closed the doors, it sounded like a city car from the eighties and Tesla didn’t even look a crack more or less inside. Just as the hard plastic also made a cheap impression. In 2021, the Tesla Model 3 was renewed for the first time and Tesla skeptics already had much less to complain about the finish or the materials used.

Elon Musk is apparently sensitive to criticism, because Tesla promises a “warm and pleasant atmosphere and premium materials” in the new Model 3. And so the quality was improved once again. Half of the materials used are said to be new. The driving experience is also more what you expect from an established car brand. Thanks to acoustic glass all around, improved bushings and seals and extra sound-absorbing materials, it is quieter in the Model 3. You can now also charge your phone wirelessly and there are 3 USB-C charging ports on board.
The dashboard itself is still as minimalist, with the large screen as an eye-catcher. The operation of that screen has always been amazingly logical. You look for levers on the steering wheel in vain, the turn signals are now in the steering wheel.
The rear passengers also have their own screen in the new Model 3. Thanks to the increased silence, in the Long Range version you can listen more carefully to the music from the 17 speakers of the audio system that Tesla developed itself. The rear-wheel drive versions get 8 speakers less. Finally, there are two new colors: ultra red and stealth gray.

The first new Models 3 will be delivered in October or November 2023. The price of the Tesla Model 3 RWD (2023) is 42,990 euros and the Tesla Model 3 Long Range costs at least 50,990 euros.
