After nine victories in a row, Max Verstappen is going for nothing less than victory in Monza during the Italian GP. That would be a historic tenth F1 win, breaking Verstappen’s record for number of F1 victories in a row.

“I’m looking forward to seeing all the passionate Italian fans,” Verstappen looks ahead to the Italian GP in Monza. “This country has a lot of motorsport history so it’s always good to race there.”

“Monza is a fast circuit, you reach very high top speeds here. So that is very different from Zandvoort, where we raced last weekend. It will be interesting to see how we perform here. It will be very important this weekend to get as high a top speed as possible while keeping a close eye on the tyres.”

It looks like we will have dry weather conditions. They will therefore not figuratively ‘put anything in the way’ of Verstappen for a possible tenth historic F1 victory in a row.

“The weather forecast looks dry and it would be nice to have a weekend without rain for a change! With nine wins in a row, hopefully we can continue this series, but we’ll see.”
