At Aston Martin, Lance Stroll had a very difficult start to the season this year. Starting the season with two broken wrists was a challenge, but Stroll also had to admit his superior in teammate Fernando Alonso. According to Stroll, Alonso is performing at an incredibly high level.

“He has already performed at a very high level throughout the year,” Stroll told Motorsport Magazine. “He made very few mistakes, no mistakes, and you have to give him due credit for that.”

“He drives at a very high level and really gets everything out of the car every week.”

According to Lance Stroll, approaching the level of Fernando Alonso is very difficult, but at the same time Stroll believes that he has also outperformed Alonso at times.

There were other times when I drove really well and I was ahead of him a few times, so I’m proud of that,” said Stroll. “However, there were also a lot of races where I felt I was getting the most out of the car but it was a bit faster, that’s the way it is.”

He performs at a very high level throughout the season and delivers top performances every week while I had a top performance a few times.”

“I also had some really bad performances and it was a bit more of a challenge for me but there are still a lot of races to go this season.”
