Corinna, the wife of F1 legend Michael Schumacher, has been living as a prisoner for ten years. She is so afraid of being approached at a restaurant about her husband’s condition. That says family friend Eddie Jordan The sun.
Corinna Schumacher (54) has spoken about him once since her husband’s terrible skiing accident in December 2013. The 54-year-old woman did that for the Netflix documentary Schumacher. In it, she tearfully said how everyone misses her husband. “He is there, but it is different. But he’s here. That gives me strength. He always protected us, now I protect him.”
Former F1 boss Eddie Jordan, who gave Schumacher his chance in F1 at the age of 22, is also not allowed to visit. Corinna completely shields her husband from the outside world and enforces the “family only” rule. He says he understands that. “It’s been almost ten years now and Corinna hasn’t been able to go to a party or a restaurant yet. She lives like a prisoner because everyone would want to talk to her about Michael, when she doesn’t need to be reminded every minute.”
In addition to caring for Michael Schumacher, Corinna also manages son Mick’s F1 career. “It is also difficult for him,” says Jordan The sun. “He might be a better pilot if it wasn’t for that pressure from everyone who expects a lot from him because he’s the son of. But he has to deal with the fact that he is his father.”
