According to Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, Friday may have been difficult for Ferrari at first sight, Leclerc believes that Ferrari still has a lot to do and will be a lot more competitive on Saturday and Sunday than it showed on Friday .

“I honestly don’t think we’re that bad,” said Leclerc. “The feeling is quite good, but it is very difficult to analyze the performance because everyone is busy with other things, think about engine power, weight and so on. Probably more than other years.”

“We tested some new parts and everything works as expected. It is difficult to estimate competitiveness because everyone completes a different program.”

“It is therefore a bit difficult to estimate the practice sessions on Friday, but the feeling is quite ok and our race pace seems better than in Bahrain, which is positive.”

“We still have some up our sleeve. How much that is, let’s see what it does. I’m sure Red Bull still has some up their sleeves so let’s see what Saturday brings. However, I think we will be closer this time.”

“We will try to maximize our result in qualifying, but given the ten-place grid penalty, the focus will be on making up positions during the race.”
