The Skoda Kodiaq came on the market in 2017 and received a facelift in 2021. High time for a new generation of Kodiaq! Our spy photographer spotted the new Czech seven-seater in northern Sweden.
The design of the new Kodiaq must remain a secret for a while. That is why Skoda has firmly wrapped the new large SUV with camouflage material. What can we distinguish in the images? It seems that the new seven-seater retains the typical Skoda grille.
We also notice that the new Kodiaq is on small wheels. These are the 18-inch standard rims on the current Kodiaq. There is a good chance that you can also equip the new SUV with 19 or 20-inch light metal.
New Skoda Kodiaq powertrains
The Skoda Kodiaq seems to be on the same MQB bottom plate as the current Kodiaq. That is already suitable for Skoda’s plans to electrify the SUV, with mild hybrid combustion engines and a plug-in hybrid. At the moment there is always a 1.5 TSI under the hood – a four-cylinder with turbo and cylinder deactivation, but without mild hybrid technology.
When can we expect the new Skoda Kodiaq?
We expect the new Kodiaq to be unveiled at the end of 2023 and to drive on Dutch roads from the beginning of 2024. Without psychedelic zebra stripes, of course.
