At the beginning of next month, Stoffel Vandoorne will again be admired at the wheel of a McLaren, although this time in IndyCar. De Rumbekenaar was previously associated with the team from Woking between 2014 and 2018, the last two years of which as a full-time driver for the Formula 1 team.
Since then, he has worked in Formula E with the works Mercedes team and is regularly involved in the World Endurance Championship (WEC).
So now he gets the chance to test a McLaren IndyCar car at the Sebring circuit in Florida. On December 6, that is a nice Sinterklaas present for Vandoorne.
Vandoorne will run into some famous people during the test session, as his Mercedes EQ Formula E teammate and reigning Formula E world champion, Nyck de Vries, will also participate with the Meyer Shank Racing team.
